Also, as an ‘ex-ad guy,’ I’ll never understand the move by most schools to use iPhone and amateur photos in their comms. They look okay, but they ultimately make every school look identical. Then there is the obligatory main-page drone shot of the building; I’ve yet to meet a parent who chooses a school based on its architecture, no matter how impressive it is.

Professional school photography is a high-pressure discipline because you cannot control the light. In that respect, it is akin to wedding photography, creating a consistent, high-end look under wildly changing campus lighting is where my 20 years of experience truly matters.
