My Absolute Favourite Locations for Family Photography | Hong Kong
The Asia Society Grounds
An oasis in the middle of Admiralty. There are some specific rules here, but it is spectacular. Small groups better here. 500 meters from Hong Kong Park with a tiny fraction of the people. Kind of secret tbh.
Stanley
Murray House, the pier, some small parks, old temples (one with a tiger skin), fabulous rocks and the laneways. The Ultimate Southside Location. Ice cream for the kidlets at the end.
Lingnan Garden
A Chinese movie set in Lai Chi Kok Park at Mei Foo in Kowloon. Timing is everything here, but I know the place very well. Bamboo, stained glass, antique-ish furniture, turtles, and lots of quiet.
Kowloon Park
My favourite park in the world. Massive with a huge number of backdrops for kids photography, from Chinese architecture to lush gardens and a massive maze. And easy to get to on the MTR.
Chung Hom Kok Beach
The hike down keeps a lot of people away, and that's not a bad thing! Very often completely quiet on weekdays. Great jungle gym for the kids as well. HK Island's best secret beach.
Star Ferry, TST
You can't go wrong with a Star Ferry family photo session, it's the Classic Hong Kong backdrop. Best in the morning if you can swing it! There was talk of them closing it, so glad to see they kept it going.

I believe your family's memories belong in your hands. Unlike the typical industry model, where a basic session is just a 'foot in the door' for expensive add-ons, my all-inclusive approach is different.
My all-in fee includes you receive: the high-resolution digital collection, and a large number of colour-corrected proofs and a hardcover album. My rates are not a ‘starting point’; there are no hidden fees, no high-pressure sales, just a complete record of your family's story.
To receive this album in time for the December holidays, it is advised to do these sessions during my April-May availability. If you do a photo session in November, I do not have the time to produce these albums during my busy period. They take time, I really think about these projects, especially when making multi-year albums.
The creative process cannot be rushed!
I often see families wait until their kids are ten to book a session, by then, the magic of the toddler years is a distant memory. Don't wait for the 'perfect' time, there is no such thing! (Actually the perfect time was six months ago.)
