Discovery Bay sits in a category of its own in Hong Kong. No cars, a proper beach, actual backyards, and a pace of life that feels nothing like the Island or Kowloon. For a Discovery Bay Hong Kong family photoshoot, it's one of my most reliable locations — and genuinely one of the hidden photography spots in Hong Kong that produces something different every time.

Mui Wo: fantastic village with lots of cool features like old temples and a waterfall. Easy!
Disneyland Resort: actually surprisingly easy to use and has the best maze for photography in Hong Kong.
Tung Chung: I love shooting in this part of Hong Kong, the old pier has tons of character. Start there, then wander.
