Laos CSR Power Project

I recently shot a large Corporate Social Responsibility project for a power company in Laos. This shoot allowed me to make some images that I don’t usually do, mostly drone photography. As someone who has always been looking for high ground to get ‘the shot’, being able to shoot with a drone was a revelation.

Laotian language is very similar to Thai, and most educated Lao are completely fluent in Thai. As I am fully conversational in Thai language I was able to to this project without any English being spoken, outside the brief with the client.

I first visited Laos in 1996 and have been going back ever since. Incredible country with such potential, and yet so many problems. It was fulfilling to work with a company that is trying to make the country a better place.
