Capturing Youth Tennis in Hong Kong

I’ve known this family for years and have been photographing their spunky daughter for nearly eight years. Recently, I was thrilled to discover she’s now one of the top youth tennis players in Hong Kong. Watching her energy on the court, and capturing it through my lens, was a reminder of how powerful photography can be in documenting kids’ passions as they grow.

Why Photograph Kids Playing Tennis?

Sports aren’t just about competition — they’re about confidence, personality, and joy in action. A great photograph can freeze the determination in a child’s expression, the speed of their serve, or the laughter that comes after a hard-fought rally. These moments are just as meaningful as a posed family portrait, and they make memories families will treasure for years. This girl was also featured on the cover of Expats Magazine a few years ago while I was working with Hong Kong Academy.

Tips for Kids Sports Photography in Hong Kong

Book a Kids Sports Photography Session in Hong Kong

Whether it’s tennis in Kowloon, football in Sai Kung, or basketball on Hong Kong Island, kids’ sports are a fantastic way to showcase their energy and personality. If your child plays tennis, or any sport for that matter, I’d love to capture their story in action. Normally we start with the sports, then wardrobe change and family photos afterward.
